From two strings to a global Gospel calling.
The story of Glory Ministry began with God's work in the life of a musician. After experiencing God's grace, erhu artist Suzanne Z. Shu sensed a calling to dedicate her musical gifts to the Gospel.
In November 1999, she released her first praise album, Praise on Two Strings. With the erhu – a Chinese two-string instrument – as its voice, the album expressed praise and thanksgiving to God. This marked the beginning of Glory Music Ministry, which focused on music creation and worship albums, bringing praise and worship to churches and communities.
As the ministry grew, God brought new co-workers into this calling, including Suzanne's younger brother, Shu Fang, a well-known music producer in China. After coming to faith in Christ, he began composing many moving and widely loved praise songs, dedicating his gifts to serving God.
Over time, under God's guidance and grace, the ministry expanded into songwriting, visual media production, films, and short video projects. What began with "two strings" became a broader artistic ministry, and Glory Music Ministry became known simply as Glory Ministry – reflecting its wider vision of sharing the Gospel through music, media, and the arts.
Through creative expression and artistic ministry, we seek to bring the message of the Gospel to people around the world.
To glorify God through music and the arts, proclaim the Gospel, and bless the world.
Our vision is to carry the message of the Gospel throughout the world through music, visual media, and the arts, so that people of every culture and language may know the glory and salvation of God.
